ABOUT US

High-stakes decisions demand clarity. High Score Strategies provides independent business valuation and growth strategy advisory to founders, boards, and investors—particularly in technology, software, AI, and innovation-driven companies.

We help clients understand what their business is worth today and what will drive its value tomorrow.

Our valuations are rigorous and defensible, built to withstand scrutiny from investors, auditors, and transaction counterparties. Our growth advisory focuses on the structural drivers of enterprise value—capital allocation, scalability, intellectual property, ownership design, and strategic positioning.

With offices in Atlanta and Caldas da Rainha, we serve clients globally, bringing disciplined analysis to critical financial decisions.

MICHAEL BLAKE, CFA, ASA, ABAR, BVIUK

Founders and executives rarely need more enthusiasm. They need clarity.

Michael Blake has more than three decades of experience across business valuation, venture capital, and investment banking. Over 20 of those years have been dedicated full-time to complex appraisal and enterprise value analysis.

He works with leaders at pivotal moments—capital raises, acquisitions, partner transitions, equity design, intellectual property strategy, and long-term growth decisions. In these moments, emotion runs high and information is incomplete. His role is not to take over the journey, but to guide it with disciplined analysis and steady judgment.

Clients say he gives them the answer they need, not the one they want. He is known for asking the question that reframes the entire situation, uncovering hidden risks before they become expensive lessons, and clarifying what truly drives enterprise value—and what merely looks impressive.

Michael combines analytical rigor with practical capital markets experience. He is the author of numerous published articles and a book on valuation and value creation. He has served as a Special Instructor of Valuation in the Georgia Tech/Emory University TIGER program and provides continuing professional education to professional appraisers.

He holds a B.A. in Economics from Franklin & Marshall College and an M.B.A. in Finance from Georgetown University. He is a CFA Charter holder, an Accredited Senior Appraiser with The American Society of Appraisers (ASA), Accredited in Business Appraisal Review (ABAR), and accredited by the Business Valuation Institute of the United Kingdom.

When the financial terrain becomes uncertain, leaders rely on him as a steady guide—bringing credibility, clarity, and defensible thinking to decisions that shape the future of their organizations.
